VEHICLE REVERSING OPERATIONS ON SITE

Aims of the Course

To give the competencies required to reverse/manoeuvre vehicles as a team.
To ensure that reversing operations are carried out in the safest possible manner.
To reduce the risk of injury to person’s on site and members of the public from vehicle movements.
To reduce vehicle and property damage caused by reversing operations.

Course Objectives:

To know and understand the roles of both the Vehicle Driver and the Reversing Assistant in control of the reversing operation.
To understand the key issues arising out of reversing & manoeuvring.
Identify areas of danger for reversing vehicles.
Demonstrate recommended code of signals and reversing procedure.
