VEHICLE REVERSING OPERATIONS ON SITE


Aims of the Course

  • To give the competencies required to reverse/manoeuvre vehicles as a team.
  • To ensure that reversing operations are carried out in the safest possible manner.
  • To reduce the risk of injury to person’s on site and members of the public from vehicle movements.
  • To reduce vehicle and property damage caused by reversing operations.

Course Objectives:

  • To know and understand the roles of both the Vehicle Driver and the Reversing Assistant in control of the reversing operation.
  • To understand the key issues arising out of reversing & manoeuvring.
  • Identify areas of danger for reversing vehicles.
  • Demonstrate recommended code of signals and reversing procedure.
