Introduction
This course of training will enable Site Managers and Supervisors to perform their duties relating to the inspection of scaffolds, to comply with the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996, The Work at Height Regulations 2005 and associated Codes of Practice.
For whom the Course is intended
Site Managers, Foremen/Supervisors and those with responsibilities for scaffolding on site.
Course Aims
To emphasise to delegates the employer’s statutory obligation to have competent persons to inspect and then complete reports on scaffolds in the workplace. To give delegates practice at inspecting scaffolds and completing inspection reports.
Objectives
At the end of the course delegates will be able to:-
- Understand the requirements of the legislation applicable to scaffolding and the employer’s duties and responsibilities.
- Understand the basic scaffolding components and the principle of erection.
- Carrying out inspections of scaffold including fault finding.
- Complete a scaffold inspection report.
