Introduction
This course of training has been developed to provide delegates with an understanding of the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
For whom the Course is Intended
Contracts Managers, Project Managers, Site Managers, Site Agents & Supervisors.
Course Aims
To assist course delegates in identifying their responsibilities as a duty holder under these regulations and the necessity for competence.
Objectives
At the end of the course, delegates will:-
- Understand the relationship between the Health and Safety at Work Act, the
Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and C.D.M. Regulations.
- Understand the necessity for adopting a risk assessment approach to fulfilling their duties and responsibilities.
- Be aware of the main duties of the duty holders as defined under C.D.M.
- Be able to identify their own Companies duties under C.D.M. and the responsibility for achieving a proving competence of the work force.
- Understand the purpose of health and safety plans and files.
- Be aware of pending changes to the CDM Regulations and proposed new Construction Regulations.
